In 1977, Dad Pavel was 7 years old. He started going on trips, hiking tours, and mountain crossings regularly with his dad Svaťa. They regularly recorded their experiences in a chronicle they established in 1977. This year can therefore be considered a historic milestone for our family when we started engaging in tourism. The tourist chronicle covers the period from 1977 to 1991. We continued the tradition of the tourist chronicle in the next generation through these pages. You are reading the second part.
Motto: Life is beautiful, life is hard, merciless hours, long valleys, high snow peaks, we are all heroes, those of us who walk. S. K. Neumann.
In 1986, we launched the '100 Spring Kilometers' campaign and participated in traditional hiking events such as the Forest Meeting and the Hiking through the Slovácko Vineyards. Across Slovakia, this time we conquered the Veľká Fatra Mountains. We also spent weeks in the High Tatras and the Jeseníky Mountains.
In 1987, due to health reasons, we only went on two outings with dad. The first one led to Letonice, the second to the Chřiby Mountains, where along the route Buchlov - St. Barbara - Čert saddle - Buchlov - the statue of Cyril and Methodius - Buchlov, we gradually observed the Buchlov Castle in all its forms.
In 1988, we returned to the hiking trails. We went on many trips, mainly in South Moravia, and marked many kilometers of hiking trails. We completed a course for trail markers and an instructor seminar. The highlight of the season was a more than 14-day expedition to the Bulgarian and Romanian mountains.
In 1989, we primarily focused on marking hiking trails. However, we also found time for several hiking events. Across Slovakia, this time we conquered the Slovenské rudohorie Mountains. We also took several trips in the Slovak Paradise and the High Tatras. We spent a week in the Krkonoše Mountains.
In 1990, we primarily focused on marking hiking trails and took several trips. We participated in the marker's event at Tesák. Thanks to new travel opportunities, we also went on to Vienna. Across Slovakia, we conquered the Strážov Mountains, and during a week-long stay, we reached the peaks of the Krkonoše Mountains.
